Hello! I’m Samuel Pravin David, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to the first edition of The Accounting Parrot Newsletter. Alongside me in this journey is my supportive wife (who is also an accountant) and our two lovely daughters. While they aren't involved in the newsletter, they are a huge inspiration in my work.

This newsletter is designed to assist accountants and bookkeepers like you in gaining more knowledge, engaging in meaningful discussions, and discovering exciting job opportunities. These are resources I wished I had access to when I began my career in accounting.

About Me: My Journey with Numbers

I live and work remotely from Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. I’ve spent over four and a half years becoming an expert in using Xero, a tool that helps businesses manage their finances more easily. I love finding ways to make things work better and faster, especially for small and medium-sized businesses.

Although I am based in Malaysia, I have had the privilege of working with clients from diverse regions including The United States of America, Australia, and in Malaysia itself. This has given me a broad perspective on the financial and operational challenges faced by businesses globally.

I've worked with the eCommerce accounting teams at BeanNinjas Australia and now at businessDEPOT, focusing on cloud integrations. I was previously the Finance Manager at Mangosteen Organics and also founded a fish breeding business.
